Space Kidz with the support of Lumina Datamatics launched their satellite into outer space executed by 750 girls studying in government schools across the country, from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. This program specifically targets children from impoverished backgrounds, allowing them opportunities that will enable them to explore different skill sets and, perhaps, even target careers in Space. With Lumina Datamatics’ increasing CSR involvement, this was a cause that was relatively easy to support making space explorable and economical for the future generation.
In addition to this, we collaborated with Saukhyam and Anju Bist, popularly known as the Pad-woman of India, renowned for her pioneering efforts in producing and creating awareness about reusable sanitary pads. Recognizing the importance of menstrual hygiene and its impact on women's lives, this collaboration involved a series of awareness workshops conducted across various colleges and institutes in Maharashtra.
The Initiative aligns perfectly with the commitment to corporate social responsibility with the intention of making a positive difference within society. This association is a significant milestone for Lumina Datamatics considering that this is the first time 750 girl students from rural backgrounds have come together for a project of this scale. The second initiative of the menstrual hygiene workshop helped address crucial topics such as menstrual hygiene, the environmental impact of disposable sanitary products, and the advantages of embracing reusable sanitary pads. The goal was mainly to promote sustainable menstrual hygiene practices and foster a more informed and empowered generation.
